TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. BOOKINGS
By making a booking, the first named person on the booking agrees on behalf of all persons detailed on the booking that:

a) he/she has read these Terms and Conditions and has the authority to and does agree to be bound by them;
b) he/she consents to our use of personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and is authorised on behalf of all persons named on the booking to disclose their personal details to us, including where applicable special categories of data (such as information on health conditions or disabilities and dietary requirements);
c) he/she is over 18 years of age and where placing an order for services with age restrictions declares that he/she and all members of the party are of the appropriate age to purchase those services;
d) he/she accepts financial responsibility for payment of the booking on behalf of all persons detailed on the booking.

1.1 Cancellations, Changes and Refunds:

1.1.1 Cancellations and Changes:

To confirm reservations we ask for a deposit of % of the total reservation (different for each service provided). In the event of cancellation, this value is not refunded. You can, however, use this value as a credit toward another reservation as long as the cancellation or amendment is made 20 days prior to the scheduled date of the lesson booking.

1.1.2 Refunds:
Under the conditions of subparagraph 1.1.1, the refund of % is in the form of credit towards future bookings. In case of cancellation after payment of the remaining amount of the total booking, this will be refunded by bank transfer and all costs associated with this transaction are the customer’s responsibility.

1.2. Scheduling and location

1.2.1 Schedule

At PURE SURF SCHOOL, we strive to provide the best possible experience for our clients, ensuring your surf lessons align with optimal weather and tide conditions. Our school operates non-stop from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, offering flexible scheduling options to accommodate your needs.
​
To streamline our agenda and make it easier for you to choose, our online booking system exclusively offers two time slots for each service: 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. These times help us divide preferences and availability between mornings and afternoons, allowing our instructors to better plan their schedules.
​
However, please note that the exact time of your session may vary. Once your booking is confirmed, your instructor will personally contact you via phone or WhatsApp to finalize the timing of your lesson. This adjustment ensures that your surf session takes place under the best possible conditions, factoring in weather, tide levels, and overall safety.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter, as it helps us deliver a high-quality, personalized surfing experience for every participant.

1.2.2 Location
​
At PURE SURF SCHOOL, we prioritize providing our clients with the best and safest conditions to enjoy their surfing experience. Under optimal sea conditions, our sessions will regularly take place at San Agustín Beach, located on the stunning southern coast of Gran Canaria. This location offers an ideal setting for surfers of all levels to catch great waves and soak in the beauty of the island.

However, if conditions at San Agustín Beach are not suitable for surfing—such as due to weather, wave patterns, or safety concerns—there is a possibility that the lesson location may be changed to another nearby beach within the area. Rest assured, this alternative spot will be carefully chosen to ensure it meets our standards for an enjoyable and safe surf session.

In such cases, the final location of your session will be communicated to you in advance. We will strive to inform you at least 24 hours before the start of your lesson, whenever possible, to give you ample time to adjust your plans.
​
We appreciate your understanding and flexibility, as these adjustments help us ensure a high-quality surfing experience tailored to the natural elements.
2. SURF LESSONS
2.1 While using our equipment (wetsuit, rash vest and surfboard) the client agrees to use it with care.
The Pure Surf School assumes no liability for any injury, damage, death, damages, losses or costs incurred by the customer and/or to third parties due to activities, error, negligence, offences, misconduct, omissions, failures, false information or any illegal false information attributable to our company. We include personal accident insurance in our surf lessons unless considered a case of neglect or misconduct. In cases of neglect or misconduct, the customer will be responsible for costs incurred in the repair or replacement of damaged equipment.

2.2 The following are considered cases of neglect or misconduct:

2.2.1 Use of soft boards outside the white water area. Unless instructed by a qualified instructor.
​
2.2.2 Use of hard boards in the white water area. Unless instructed by a qualified instructor.

Walk or sit on the surfboard when upside down (fins faced upward).
-
More than one person walking or sitting on the board simultaneously.

Dragging of surfboard or wetsuit.
-
Any damage caused to the equipment intentionally.

Failure to follow safety procedures and advice given by qualified on duty surf instructor.

2.3 Cancellations, Changes and Refunds:

2.3.1 Cancellations and Changes.
In case of cancellation, the customer will receive a credit for use in booking services supplied by us in the amount of:​​

100% refund if cancellation made 24 hours in advance of the scheduled start of service.

50% refund if cancellation made 12 hours in advance of the scheduled start of service.

0% if cancellation is not made 12 hours in advance of the scheduled start of service.

2.3.2 Refunds:
Under the conditions of subparagraph 2.3.1, the appropriate Refunds will be made in the form of credit. Refunds are not made in other forms of payment.
​
2.3.3 Exceptions:
Paragraph 2.3.1 is not valid for surf lessons pertaining to the promotional package of several surfing days.
3. EQUIPMENT RENTAL
3.1 While using our equipment (wetsuit, rash vest and surfboard) the client agrees to use it with care.

In the case of negligence or misconduct, the customer will be responsible for costs incurred in the repair or replacement of damaged material.

3.3.2 Refunds:

3.4 Duration
​
The rentals have a max duration of 24 hours, in case you want to rent for a longer period it is necessary to consult previously and always let us know if you are going to keep the material longer than the agreed time.
