Ion is also nationally recognized for an extraordinary accomplishment: he was the first person to complete the northern route of the Camino de Santiago, a world-renowned pilgrimage trail from Irún to Santiago de Compostela, covering 870 kilometers on an electric skateboard. Along the way, he surfed different waves across the Cantabrian coast, warmly welcomed by local surf schools as he passed through.
